3.) Listing as a certified Emotional Literacy Academy Professional.

4.) Referrals for individuals looking for an Emotional Literacy coach or consultant.

What does it mean to be an Emotional Literacy Professional?

An Emotional Literacy Professional is a trained expert who specializes in helping individuals develop their emotional intelligence and literacy. Emotional literacy refers to the ability to understand, manage, and express emotions in healthy and productive ways. Emotional literacy is an essential life skill that helps individuals navigate the complexities of their personal and professional relationships, manage stress, and cope with difficult situations.

As an Emotional Literacy Professional, the primary responsibility is to work with clients to develop their emotional intelligence and literacy. This involves assessing the client’s current emotional state, identifying areas of emotional weakness or challenge, and creating a personalized plan for improving emotional literacy.

An Emotional Literacy Professional must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to listen actively, empathize with their clients, and create a safe and supportive environment for them to share their emotions. They must also be knowledgeable about emotional intelligence and its various components, including self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, and relationship management.

An Emotional Literacy Professional plays a crucial role in helping individuals develop the skills they need to thrive in both their personal and professional lives. By improving emotional literacy, individuals can better manage their emotions, communicate effectively, and build stronger and more meaningful relationships.

Getting Naked:

On Being Emotionally Transparent at the Right Time, the Right Place, with the Right Person

by Dr. Patrick Williams, Ed.D., MCC, BCC

As an expert on psychology, life, and wellness coaching, I believe we can never live fully or optimally if we have no places in our lives where we can be naked emotionally and spiritually. And we need to choose the right people and the right time for this self-disclosure.

It’s time to get naked. You have a very short time on earth, and the question then becomes what will we do with the time we are given? Intimacy and transparency are fundamental to your ability to show up bravely, with humility, and ultimately transform your experience of life.

Dr. Patrick Williams shares stories and continually asks, “What steps will you take to step forward in your life?” via his book Getting Naked: On Being Emotionally Transparent at the Right Time, the Right Place, and with the Right Person.
